As I was nearing the end of my 15 year homeschooling career, I began seeking the Lord as to what He would have me do with all of my creative energies. Waiting, watching and all-the-while being prepared, He led me on a journey to ramp up my speaking and leadership skills at Frederick Toastmasters. That led to several opportunities to speak publicaly about caring for my dad and about Alzheimer’s/dementia disease. It was in the 10 minutes between the first set up call and The Takeaway telephone radio interview that this consulting service was birthed. I was sitting on my family room couch looking out the picture windows as the sun was rising over the pasture. I was marveling with the Lord about how much I love to share and talk about Alzheimer’s and caring for those we love. It was in those minutes that FamilyCareCoach^TM was established - with a heart to serve those who are struggling with this very difficult journey.
